Model railroading is as complex as it is
simple. It can include almost any aspect of human life. A
modeler can follow the rules and do things "by the numbers", they can
step outside their comfort zone, or reach a balance where the solutions
incorporates both. One can strive for historical accuracy, ignore it all
together or merge the two.
Overall I run what I find attractive from a
visual or intellectual perspective.
